Jason Freeny’s Skull Bomb returns to Mighty Jaxx in a Retro Edition! Sporting red, blue, and silver tones, this vintage design is references the birth of humanity’s most destructive force.
A Classic Design
The retro design pops with details like faded colors and fraying edges—roots set back in a time that once was. The tip of the bomb is its namesake, a skull with its teeth hanging out.
The silhouette itself is a familiar one, and the polystone material gives it a hefty feel, making the whole collectible premium and cohesive.
Eyes on the Details
The collectible sports references throughout its body. One is the “235” emblazoned prominently in the center—referring to Uranium-235. A material that’s made of 85% or more of this isotope is known as weapon-grade Uranium.
The superscript is “X3”, which references Trinity, the code name for the first detonation of a nuclear weapon as part of the United States Manhattan Project. Assigned by J. Robert Oppenheimer, he was inspired by the poetry of John Donne.
The Jason Freeny Touch
The Skull Bomb is a Jason Freeny design—and included on the body is his signature anatomical style. On close inspection, the two triangular signs are a little different from usual. The Warning and Caution labels are done up with bones, from the edges encasing them to the signs themselves.
