Meet The Straw Hat Crew from One Piece!

The Freeny's Hidden Dissectibles blindbox series has featured the likes of Spongebob and Sesame Street. This week, it grows again with One Piece!

Featuring 6 characters from the hit anime show, this fun collection of figures is a must have for any die hard One Piece fan. Unfamiliar with the show and its characters? Known as the Straw Hat Pirates, lets meet the crew!

MONKEY D. LUFFY

Monkey D. Luffy, or just Luffy, is the founder and captain of the Straw Hat Pirates. Carefree with great ambition and a huge appetite, often comically gorging himself.

Luffy's Devil Fruit power is rubberiness which makes him immune to electric attacks and most blunt forces gives him the ability to stretch his body at will. He uses his elasticity to accelerate part or all of his body to deliver punches, kicks, head butts, or for propulsion.

RORONOA ZORO

Roronoa Zoro, also known as "Pirate Hunter" Zoro is the Straw Hat Pirates' swordsman and combatant. He was the first to join the crew after being saved from execution. Zoro is known as an expert of Santōryū (Three Sword Style), where he wields a third sword with his mouth in combat. 

Zoro has a terrible sense of direction, somehow being able to get lost even walking in a straight line. You'll find Zoro either sleeping or training to be the world's greatest swordsman when you sail with the Straw Hat Pirates.

SANJI

Sanji is the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates, with Luffy's voracious appetite, Sanji's role on the ship is not to be scoffed at. Not that you should brush Sanji off anyway, he is one of the top four fighters in the crew.

As much as possible, Sanji avoids unnecessary confrontations though he is occasionally shown enjoying fights. You'll never see Sanji fight with his hands however, relying instead on kicks. He has to keep his hands clean for cooking.

USOPP

The former captain of the Usopp Pirates and the sniper of the Straw Hat Pirates, Usopp dreams of becoming a brave warrior of the sea just like his father and lives every day in pursuit of living up to this dream.

There is no better friend than Usopp. He is unselfish, compassionate, and strives to become a great pirate as well as better himself. He works hard to keep the crew safe and help his fellow crew members accomplish their dreams as well as his own.

NICO ROBIN

Robin is the archaeologist of the Straw Hat Pirates. She is the sole survivor of the destroyed island of Ohara. Robin is very rarely comical, and instead keeps a calm and serene composure. She treats Luffy with the utmost respect and supports his decisions unconditionally.

When you sail with the Straw Hat Pirates, Robin is usually reading and investigating data from the places the crew has visited. She also has a somewhat macabre side, pointing out gross or morbid facts.

Tony Tony Chopper

Chopper is a toddler-sized human/reindeer hybrid, but his Devil Fruit abilities allow him to change his appearance depending on the situation. He is also the doctor of the Straw Hat Pirates. A running gag in the show is that various characters mistake Chopper for a raccoon.

Chopper is undoubtedly the fan favourite here. His cute demeanor, various forms, and child like behaviour  has won the hearts of many. Maybe, we'll do a Chopper specific blindbox one day?
