A Reflection of Street Culture

Pigeons are a common sight on the streets of New York City, inspiring Jeff Staple to develop his now-iconic STAPLE brand. Although these birds are not native to the concrete jungles of modern-day cities, they have found a way to not just survive, but thrive—a perfect metaphor for the city’s hustle mentality.

The brand now aims to capture the gritty essence of urban dwellers all over the world, taking design cues from street culture.

Paying Tribute to Sneakerheads 

Styles and trends constantly change in street fashion, but several pieces remain wardrobe staples. When it comes to footwear, you will never go wrong with sneakers!

Drawing inspiration from well-known sneaker designs, Jeff Staple came up with an all-new pigeon design. Dressed in red, black, and white—coveted colorways for many classic sneaker models—it features patterns and textures inspired by components (shoelaces), commonly used materials (leather), and construction techniques (stitch marks).

This pigeon design first appeared on a STAPLE T-Shirt and was hyped by the community. Mighty Jaxx has teamed up with the firm to bring it to life, with the Pigeon in Flight by Jeff Staple collectible. Making the jump to 3D, it is the perfect piece to feature alongside your prized sneaker(s)!
